These days, you can find and download apps for just about any purpose, even if that purpose is to completely waste a few minutes. There are also several apps available to help with legal matters, even if you’re not a legal professional. Here’s some of the best new releases, many of which are free.



This is a good one if you have an ongoing case with attorneys involved. It allows you to access the time entries for billable hours when your attorney has signed up with Viewabill.




Transporting legal documents used to take time. CamScanner now allows you to create, edit and share documents instantly in either PDF or JPG format via email. You also have the option of saving in the cloud, faxing and printing the documents.


Court Days

Court Days instantly calculates the number of court days or calendar days (or a combination of the two) before or after a given date. It also provides custom court holidays if your jurisdiction is not in the application’s default database. From there, you can email the calculated dates to other parties.


U.S. Constitution


If you’re a bit of a law or history buff, there’s also U.S. Constitution, which is provided by the Library of Congress. This app contains the full text of the U.S. Constitution, including clause-by-clause discussions, and discussions of relevant Supreme Court cases. You can navigate using its built-in table of contents, table of cases and index.
